The project begins with the making of a modern Fossil –casting resin over natural dry branches. After casting, the composite body of synthetic and natural materials is ready for "excavation" in a milling process.
 

Processing the fossil on a lathe; reveals the interaction between the branches and the resin. Each outcome is unique, a one of a kind visual encounter that cannot be duplicated.
